Kuler

Kuler is a little known software gem from Adobe in the form of a web-hosted application, that can be either used alone or in conjunction with software from the Adobe® Creative Suite®, such as Adobe Illustrator® CS5, Photoshop® CS5, InDesign® CS5, Fireworks® CS5, and Flash® Professional CS5.

Kuler's online experience uses Adobe® Flash® and ActionScript 3.0, so the website where it operates isn't really recommended for slow connections.

Kuler allows you to create or find a color scheme by using hex colors, images, or from themes provided by the Adobe community. You can even pick a color hex from a logo of a site that you’re working with, drop it into Kuler’s create panel and it will generate a color scheme based on that color. Sweet.

Rules can be applied to the color schemes, including Analogous, Monochromatic, Triad, Complementary, Compound or Shades. Each scheme consists of five colors, and each color can be adjusted manually using a color wheel and sliders for red, green and blue values. The tools returns the RGB, HSV, CMYK, LAB and HEX values for each color.
